Dr. Sue Profilet

Dr. Susan Profilet is a Developmental Psychologist. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, with a specialization in Developmental and Socialization Processes, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1995. Dr. Profilet has conducted research, taught child development, and worked with children and families for over 33 years. Dr. Profilet has conducted research in the areas of parent-child interaction, parenting styles, and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers for abused and neglected children. She has created and published the Child Behavior Scale for teachers to rate young children’s behavior in the classroom.

In November of 2017, Dr. Profilet joined Fort Bend County Behavioral Health Services to provide clinical services to the Infant and Toddler Court, with the most vulnerable infants and young children. She is responsible for providing parent-child assessments and trauma-focused services to children and families involved in CPS. As of October, 2021, Dr. Profilet is now a full time Child Development Specialist with Fort Bend County Behavioral Health Services department, expanding her services to provide training and education in the areas of expertise related to children and families.

Our Vision

Collaboratively work with the courts, criminal justice, other county departments, behavioral health providers and community organizations to develop needed services to support at risk individuals with behavioral health disorders. Our goals are to foster resiliency, reduce recidivism, support reintegration, recovery and family reunification.
